Picture's

Well it's that time of year again, we went out in the cold this afternoon and had our family picture taken. It was even snowing, you couldn't see it in the pictures thoug. We needed to get them done so I could send them to Costco and get cards made so I could mail them. They turned out really good. It is hard to believe that the kids can grow so much in a year. Here is a sample of what was taken

Well Jessica is on her count down, only 9 more days and her braces will be off. She is so excited, I will post a before, during and after braces picture next week.

To everyone Happy Holidays, enjoy time with your loved ones, as we will do. We will have the whole family home this year, so it should be alot of fun. Oh and did I mention that I am on vacation as well!!!!!

I am back

Geeze the days lately have just been flying by.

Well since my last post - Thanksgiving was great, and yes the girls still rule!!!!!!!! Us girls in the family seem to just KICK BUTT when it comes to Pictionary. Susan could draw a line and I will guess China and that would be correct, man it drives Dean and Joe crazy, but boy is it GREAT!!!

I am a proud Auntie once again! My sister-in-law, Pam had a healthy baby girl last Wednesday night, yae finally another girl to add to the Rigney's, her name is Abbigail Lynn, I will post a picture as soon as we go see them, that's of course with permission of them.

This past weekend we took Joseph to Post Falls for the Idaho State Youth Wrestling Tournament, weather and all. Joseph kept on telling me in the weeks prior that he was just expecting to wrestle 2 matches (double elimination) and be happy with that. With it only being his 4th tournament of his wrestling career. Well he was wonderful and ending up medaling and taking 6th place in the state of Idaho
(Novice 80 pound)Here he is at the end of a long day.

Well now we are "Sport free" Until January, except for Jess' Sunday practices.
So, hopefully I will post more frequently, and maybe I can get Jaimie to start as well.

You know Jaimie has a myspace now, you should check it out, go to my page(myspace url is on here on top on the right) she is on my top friends, well in order to look at her page and pictures you will also have to sign up and get a myspace page too.

Well that about wraps up the past few weeks.
Happy Holiday's!!!

Update

OK, so my wonderful husband is sure to get the hunter of the year award, today he got himself a 5x5 buck, so here is a photo, when they got home.

I can't wait to be able to go out again, it is hard to describe how I enjoyed myself out in the woods with him hunting. He is not too demanding telling me to hurry up, suck it up or not another rest. He tells me that I am a big trooper and is proud of me. W

Good News!!
My dad finally gets to come home on Friday :) He will be adjusting for awhile I think, I think that this is a great move!!!!!!!

Well I will post some more photo's hopefully later tonight, but who knows, we are starting to make green salsa tonight.

He shot a Cow

Well joe called me last night around 6ish to let me know that he would not be meeting half way to pick up little Joe from hunting camp. During his evening hunt (4pm) him and Joseph got into some elk and was YES successful. So him and his brother were headed out to pack it out. Now you see where they are hunting in Waha they can't use any truck, atv or motorcycle to pack the meat out, just their pack on their backs. So a little close to 3am this morning Joe called and said that they were finally back to camp and boy was that one big cow. Can't wait to see the pictures of little Joe with the elk. Will post this weekend.

Anyway I have my boys home and will have my husband in my bed for at least one evening again. We will, like I said in my previous post, will head back after Joseph's game tomorrow so I can hopefully be as successfull and fill my tag. If so we will just be deer hunting here on out.

Some old Photo's

Photobucket Album

Thursday

Well Joseph is off in the mountains with Joe, so it is just Jess and I. I am proud to say that I am the proud parent of a nerd. Tuesday was nerd day for Jessica at school, and she won first place for her nerd get up, boy if she could just put all that energy in other things, it would be a happy home.

Just a quick update on my dad, if you didn't already know my dad got a horrible infection in July that ended up putting him in a coma on the 27th of July. The infection effected his brain, so he basically had to learn almost everything again. He is currently in Lewiston Rehab in the Orchards and making wonderful progress, he now walks with no walker and is getting around better. His memory is still going to be a long healing process. The GREAT news is that he can go places, the Sunday before my birthday we all went out to lunch and on the Saturday he is going to go to Joseph's last football game. He loves to have visitors too. I have never seen my dad smile as much as he has in the past month, it is great.

This was taken on July 25th , just 2 days prior.

Well back to work it is.

Happy "practice" Friday

Always a first

This is my first attempt to blogging. Thought this would be a easy way for family and friends that we don't speak to often enough, but should, to keep tabs on the ole Rigney family.

Me, well there is always work and then between 5 and 9 it is being a taxi for the kids to and from, soccer practice, football practice, wrestling practice or Jess' job. Then in that time I squeeze in seeing my dad. (next post will be an update on his progress) Try to squeeze some scrapping, photography and family time in somewhere. On my return from my scrapbook retreat in September I didn't put everything away like usual but set my self up with a corner in the family room, I proud to say since my return on the 16th of September I have completed 9 pages. You see usually I just come home and put everything away until the next retreat.

My birthday was the 19th and boy was I spoiled by all. 1st when I woke up and went into my bathroom their on the counter was a card and a latte from my husband. 2nd @ work Nancy another manager (my @ work mom) brought me in a gift with a latte, coffee mug, chocolates and a Starbucks card. 3rd I was gathered with fellow managers and co-workers with Cinnamon rolls from Polar Bear (yummy) and a bottle of wine (yes, of course for later-still have not opened and if you know me well that's unbelievable) they also gave a gift certificate to Mem'ries, they wanted it to be for Crop, Paper, Scissors, but they were not open at time of purchase. 4th I had lunch with my dear mother, we had a great talk and she got me some good smellies from Bath and Body and also a great wine theme addition for my kitchen. 5th my mother-in-law gave me yet another gift certificate this time for Crop, Paper, Scissors. Last I traveled up to my husbands hunting camp in Waha to do some hunting. He had dinner almost ready, except he still had to grill the nice large rib eyes. I drew a cow tag for Waha, so had to give it a try, no such luck, will go back this upcoming weekend after Joseph's football game in the Kibbie Dome.

Joe - well he is at hunting camp until the 30th, I will keep you updated on his progress. He is now accompanied with his brother Scott.

Jessica - Still an avid soccer player her plan at age 14 is to play at WSU. So she is working hard with that. This fall she just played in tournament with a newer team, there were only 7 of the original girls that she has been playing with for quite of few years. They have played in 3 tournaments so for and have gotten 4th, 2nd and finally a couple weekends ago in Wenatchee they took home 1st. Their last tournament of '07 will be in Walla Walla the first weekend in November. She will continue with working out at the gym and playing indoor soccer through the winter, until spring tournaments start. She is also going to be trying out for basketball again in January. Jessica is defiantly her mothers daughter, she is so boy crazy, Joe and I go crazy over all of the phone calls.

Joseph - He tried tackle football for the 1st time, he usually plays soccer too. He is doing good when he is playing, he plays an average of 4 plays a game. He is not used to hardly any playing time, because with soccer he was always playing. He is one of only 4 5th graders on the team though the remainder of the 28 team roster are 6th graders, he is going to try it again next fall too. His team is the Warriors and the are undefeated, so they will be playing in the championship game at 3pm this Saturday at the Kibbie Dome. He will go on to relaxing after football season and then will play spring soccer with his old team.

Well there you have it, I promise my future posts will be shorter. If you want to know more please post me a comment and ask. I will be adding pictures soon.
