Better Late Than Never

So I know that is has been almost a month since my last post. Well we spent Tanksgiving with my mom, Joe was on graveyard, so we spent most the day and night at moms. Watched a little football played some quarters and pictionary, I must say Susan and I were almost beaten, note how I said almost. YES we are still the queens of pictionary.

Did go hunting, I was unsucessfull, did not see anything, except my breath.

Joseph didn't do to well at the state tournament, he was running a fever and he still is coughing, but the doctor said that it had to take it's course.

So then this past Friday early early morning my dad called and my step mother passed away so I went to his side and after the coroners report she died of a fluke thing. Basiccaly she had a cardiac arithmea at the same time her blood preasure dropped rapidy and the heart could not be revived. Betty was a very healthy women, no heart problems or blood pressure either. So this his us all very hard, she had been my dads rock for the past 8 years. So the next few months will be tough. My brother in law Jody will be taking dad to Weiser on Saturady meeting my other brother in law Greg and he will be spending the holidays with them in Southern Idah.

Anyway look forward to playing some Bunco with friends on Friday. If I don't post until after Christmas, I would like to wish everyone "Happy Holidays's"

LHS Soccer is Over

Well Jess' soccer season came to an end with her banquet. One of the moms that took pictures all season long sent some to me which, here they are.

Last weekend Joe's wrestling tournamnet didn't go to well, he was in a hard group, kids that usually don't go to the little tournaments were there. It was good that Joe saw what he is going to have to go up against in Puyallup next weekend. This weekend is our turn to host a tournament so while I am here at work, Joe is there with lil Joe and Jess is their with a freind helping work concessions and table running. I will let you all know how is doing, as I am able to go to it, matches don't start until 10am, so he might not even rwestling his first round until noon.

November

Here are my kids' 2008/2009 school pictures:

Jessica - 9th grade age 15

Joe - 6th grade age 11

Jess got a new cast on Friday and does not have to use the crutches anymore, she will be in this one for about a month and then if all looks good, she will just have to use her brace and start physical therapy.

Joe got 3rd in his wrestling tournament this weekend, so we are off to Potlatch next weekend.

I did a lot of catch up at home and had a very lazy Sunday. I never got out of my jammies. Watched some football and did some craft projects.

Just looking forward to up and down the hill this week, taking Joe and Trevor to and from Practice, I will be getting some help though.

I was sooo excited my Dolphins WON yet again!!!!!!!!!!

Another Weekend Gone

Well just to update, Joe got his elk on Thursday, a 4 point and on Friday, Scott filled his cow tag in Waha, so with that done and over with, you would think that they would pack it up and head home. Nope, they cam home long enough on Thursday to bring the meat in and to watch Ryan's last football game (bengal cup - Jenifer won) And they headed back up after the game. Then on Friday when Scott filled his, they cam home to go to the Homecoming game with us (Bengals BEAT Capital) and they stayed to go to Joe and Trevors wrestling tournament at CHS on Saturday. Trevor got 2nd and Joe had 5 matches and gave up before he even wrestled, except his last match he was wrestling a kid from our own club, who is extremely good and Joe pinned him, what's up with that. We head to Grangeville on Saturday for another tournament.

Jess went back to school on Friday and is gettin galong well. The only problem is, is that she hates the crutches, as she would say "they hurt my pits and they stink" We will see if she will get a walking cast on Friday or if she will still have to use the crutches. Will keep you all posted.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Photo's

Thought that I would post some new pictures of Jessica. Her with her permit and the before and after photo's from her surgery. She is doing good, even if she is some serious pain she isn't a complainer. She goes back the 31st to take the make shift cast off (I call it her club foot) and will get a more permanents one. I am interested to see how long the incision is. Will keep everyone posted.

I am getting old.

Well yesterday I celebrated my 36th Birthday and today my oldest passed her test and now has her drivers permit. So that just makes me feel old. I spent my day watching Joseph play baseball then Joe, Jess and I went to dinner and then Mom and Dean came over with my favorite cake and some ice cream. Then this morning a received a text from Jess the she passed and now she can drive with me legally. The bummer to it all is that she will be going under the knife tomorrow morning to have her ankle surgery which is her right ankle and she will be in a cast for at least 6 weeks, then in a boot. So driving for her will quickly come to a hault. She will get to drive to work tonight and then to the clinic in the morning.

Since Scrapbook camp I have completed 11 more pages at home. You see this is very unusual for me to do, I usually get home put all away and it won't come back out until the next retreat. I am clear to our vacation to Seattle this summer, yes I said this summer 2008!!!

The bengals won again Friday night :) It should be a good game on this Friday, Homecoming and all.

Hope you all have a great week!!

Fall is Here

Boy, did it get cold quick. Not a very eventful past week. Busy with Joe starting wrestling, thank goodness gas prices are dropping. Jess had her consultation on Wed. with her going in next Tuesday for surgery. SHe also got her stitches removed from her gums too. SO Jess is officially done with soccer until she is fully recovered from her surgery. But we have Joe to keep us busy with wrestling tournaments starting the 25th of this month. Friday night the kids went to the LHS game, and my Bunco group started up again, I was the big loser, got my money back. Saturday started off with Jess' drivers ed class (7am) then Joe went with Scott to watch Trevor's football game, and Jess and I did some things around the house and later that afternoon she had a few people over to finish thier economics project, a few turned into I think 13, they were all gone at 10. Joe had two baseball games on Sunday and boy did he luck out with the weather, I can say I like his games at Pepsi better than Clearwater, no trees and more direct sun at Pepsi. Joe came home from hunting, empty handed he'll try again next weekend. Finished the weekend off with a salmon dinner, played cards and when Joe and Joe watched a movie, I did a few more pages for my scrap book.

Yet, another week.

Well it has been a week and I can't believe how October is here already. 2 weeks and I will be 36, sure sounds like a good rounded number. Well Jess' last soccer game is tomorrow followed with a day of appointments on Wed. First we will go to the dentist who did her gum surgery and have the stitches taken out. Then on to her pre-op appointment with the ortho surgeon. We will see if the big day will be the 15th or the 22nd. Joe and I both hope for the 15th, but Jess wants to wait until the 22 because she knows for sure she will be done with driving by then. So my next post I will fill you all in. The scrapbook retreat was a blast, was great to spend 4 days with my sister Jaimie. I completed 63 pages, that was a great improvement from last fall when I only completed 13. Just got back from seeing Jaimie and Jaclyn off at the airport. :( I hate it everytime they have to go home.
I wish you all a good week.

Monday, September 29, 2008

Well last week Joe, Scott, Todd Kolb & Garry Skinner went to the Tri-Cities. They hooked up with Toby Wyatt to do some salmon fishing. And yes as you can see by the photo they were succesful.

Joe's was about 20 pounds, Scott's 15 pounds, Todd total of about 15 pounds and Garry caught the mother lode - 38 pounder.

Sherry and I went to the Blackhawk concert at the last minute, was very enjoyable and what a great venue for a concert.

Saturday Joe and I canned some more salsa, we ended up with only 22 pints this time. It seems like the garden didn't produce that well this summer. Hopefully with this warm week we can get some more Red one to eat. Then we will take all of the green ones and make an enchilada sauce with them.

Sunday, I printed off a bunch of pictures and then sent some more to be printed, getting ready for the weekend!!! Jaimie flies in on Wednesday with Jaclyn in tote.
Later Joseph had a double header he was able to pitch about 5 innings total and catch as well. He is playing in the fall baseball league, they don't practice and they just play on Sunday's. It's a great way to get the younger kids (8-9) to get some action from a live arm pitcher (they have been with a pitching machine) and the older kids (10-12) to get more play time on the mound and behind the plate. When this is over (end of Oct) Joseph will start training at Boneyard on his batting and pitching to get ready for the spring. He will also be starting wrestling on the 6th.

Jess is scheduled for her ankle surgery next month, so the anticipation of that to look forward to. She will be on cruches for 2 weeks or so and then in the cast for another 4 weeks, then straight to a walking boot.

Hope all had a good weekend.

I'm Back!!!

Well I have kind of been on a mental vacation, not fun either. I am back and promise to keep this updated.

Well alot has gone on since February. It was a busy spring with wrestling, soccer, little league baseball and traveling baseball. Joseph is quite the catcher and pitcher, he was asked to try out for all stars, which he did and also was selected to be on the team, however he declined. Don't know really why, he said that it would take his whole rest of summer away and he didn't want to miss vacation. Anywho he did regret it when the team he could of been on kept winning, the actual took state.

In June dad got sick again and it seemed like summer of 07 all over again. He ended up with bacterial meningitis, it is good they caught as early as they did, because he recovered alot quicker. He went to Lewiston Rehab again and it now at home. At the beginning he fell and his shoulder arm was bothering him they finally did an MRI and found the he had injured his rotator cuf and he had to have surgery on that and last week he was able to go with out the sling. He has been home for awhile.

In June Grandma Edra celebrated her 90th birthday. Uncle Dik was here from Hawaii and he brought Jaimie and I a special gift, his daughter Kendal. I hadn't seen Kendal since we were about 14, so it was great re connected, her and I are only 1 day apart. The girls (mom, susan, jaimie, kendal and I) went and had pedicures. We had a fiesta for Grandma at her apartment and topped the visit off with a good game of Bunco.

I actually took a real vacation this summer the kids and I along with Jaimie and her kids went to Seattle to spend some time with our aunt's, cousin and sister. It was a blast. We went to the zoo, Golden Garden (beach on the sound), shopping, The Freemont Troll, Aunt Janis', Susan's. Here are a few pictures.

Then came the birthday's in August along with getting ready for school. I don't know why I dread the month of August so much, probably because not only is it my kids' birthday's as well as my brother-in-law Scott's and my nephew Trevor, but school clothes, school supplies and the beginning with fall sports with fee's, apparel etc.

Now it is good ole' fall, and Jaimie will be here next Wednesday and her and I head to The Palouse Divide for 4 fabulous days of scrapbooking!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jess started playing for the high school this year, she didn't make varsity, because she has an injured ankle which she will be having surgery on it next month and she will be out of soccer for at least 5 months :( Joseph is playing fall baseball and then wrestling will start next month too. He didn't play football because he didn't enjoy it that much last fall, but of course he is wishing that he had.

I promise to stay up to date on this, if I don't you better e-mail nag me to.

A Month Later

Well a month has past and we are gearing into Wrestling and soccer again. Jess' first tournament is in a month and Joseph's is this coming Saturday in Clarkston. Busy Saturday's again, no big deal thought I love to watch them.

Saturday we all headed to Bald Mountain to do some skiing with almost all of the Rigneys. Both of Joe's brothers and family were there with the exception of 1/2 of Scott's clan. We had a blast weather was perfect, I don't think I have seen that much snow there before, on top of Gragmont road the fields were beautiful, the snow was so high it covered all of the fences.

We I am going to try and post more often, as well as some more pictures.

Excuse and misspelled words, the spell check on here doesn't seem to be working.

Update

Well I know that it has be awhile since I have posted any comments,so I thought that it was about time. Had a great time over Christmas, I was on vacation so I got to spend a lot of time with family. As I said prior, both my sister were home this year so it was fun. I will post a slide show of photo's.

Had a good New Years, had some friends and family over, was in bed by 1am. (I had to work the next day) With the hotel business, well they just never close. At work it has been a little crazy, we are currently going through a multi million dollar renovation, so all of the food and beverage outlets have been closed. It will sure look better when it is complete.

Joe took the kids sledding before they had to go back to school, here is Jess and Joe going off jumps.

We are going again on the 26th with quite a few friends and family.

Well made it through another scrapbook retreat, it was at the hotel and with my two great gal pals help (Debbie and Kristi O) it was successful. The last 4 that we have done the most that attended was 14 and this past weekend we had 42, wow!!! I only got one layout done, but I did do about 5 projects. As soon as I take some pictures I will post them.

Well hopefully I will post more often.
